Overwhelmed and tired of trying to hold it all in? I’m Lori, a compassionate, person-centered counsellor in South Manchester. My counselling path was shaped by my own lived experiences navigating trauma, identity, and belonging as an AuDHD, queer, Black mixed-race woman and mother. I know firsthand how heavy life feels when you are a sensitive soul carrying the weight of burnout, struggling to find where you fit and feeling disconnected from your true self.
I work in a relational, collaborative way, combining my lived experiences with professional training to create a neuro-affirming, culturally sensitive space. If you need a safe-enough container to go at your own pace and give your nervous system what it needs, you are welcome here. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Your feelings get to be seen just as they are, supporting you to feel understood, grounded and at home within yourself.

Ways to work with me
I offer online therapy from the comfort of your home and outdoor walk-and-talk sessions in South Manchester.
I also offer dedicated spaces for processing perinatal experiences, including individual birth reflection sessions and the 3-Step Rewind process. These are designed to help you make sense of your path to parenthood, particularly if you are navigating the emotional aftermath of abortion, baby loss of any kind, or a traumatic pregnancy, birth, or postpartum experience.
If you are tired of just surviving the constant ups and downs, please get in touch exactly as you are—even if everything feels messy right now. Send me an email to book an initial chat. I would love to support you as you find your way back home to yourself.
