About me:

Welcome to my profile! My name is Julie and I’m a French psychotherapist and coach offering therapy in English and French. I offer a free 20 minutes video call so you can ask me anything, and see if you think we'll be a good fit! I work online or face to face from The Therapy Loft, my therapy space in Forest Hill, SE23 3XU.

I offer a warm, relaxed, and personable approach to therapy allowing for sessions that can be light-hearted as well as deep. In fact, in my experience some of the best therapeutic breakthroughs sometimes happen around a shared laugh. My style is conversational and interactive; I won’t just sit back silently! I believe in creating a space where you feel heard and understood, with the right amount of gentle and empathetic challenge, when necessary.

My approach is integrative, meaning I tailor our sessions to suit your preferences — whether you need to work through past traumas or create a clear, practical plan to break free from old patterns or from a concrete situation you find yourself in.

I have experience supporting clients through a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, as well as work, relationships and family matters. My expertise also includes perinatal work, where I help individuals navigate pregnancy, birth trauma, postnatal depression or anxiety, and the identity and relationship challenges that motherhood and parenthood can trigger. I am also qualified as a coach, and my 20-year background in corporate roles means I’m also well-equipped to support you with work challenges, drawing on my own experience and coaching skills.

Whether you’re looking for nurturing support, a listening ear, or someone who can help you take actionable steps forward, I’m here to help.

In our therapy sessions, my goal is to help you understand yourself better, reflect on what changes you’d like to make and how we can work together to achieve them. I’ll give you all the space you need to express yourself fully, while ensuring that we don’t get stuck going around in circles. Together, we’ll keep a clear focus on your goals and monitor progress toward them.

I’ll regularly check in with you to see how you feel we are doing and if there’s anything you’d like to adjust. My priority is to make sure you feel comfortable, supported, and valued throughout the process. There’s no need to worry about starting therapy with me — I’m here to guide you every step of the way. We’re in this together!
