Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent years working as a Solicitor-Advocate. That background shapes how I work in ways I think matter: I’m comfortable with complexity, I listen carefully, I hold multiple perspectives without rushing to conclusions, and I understand the particular pressures of professional and high-achieving environments - the stress, the perfectionism, the difficulty in asking for help.
I bring that experience into a warm, thoughtful therapeutic practice rooted in the Pluralistic approach - a way of working that I find genuinely compelling because it resists one-size-fits-all thinking. Rather than applying a fixed method, we work collaboratively to explore what kind of support would be most useful to you, drawing on whichever therapeutic approaches best fit your needs and preferences. That might include person-centred work, psychodynamic exploration, CBT-informed thinking, psychosynthesis, or elements of mindfulness and breathwork - whatever serves you best at any given point.
I have particular experience supporting people with anxiety, panic attacks, low mood and depression, trauma, addiction and behavioural recovery, and low self-esteem. I also work with people navigating significant life transitions - career changes, relationship shifts, questions of identity and direction.
Therapy with me tends to suit people who want to be active participants in their own process rather than passive recipients of a fixed approach. If you value being genuinely heard, want to understand yourself more clearly, and are looking for a space where you can think things through with honesty and without judgment, I’d be glad to hear from you.
I offer a free initial telephone or video call so we can get a sense of whether working together feels right. Sessions are available in-person in Marlow or online via Teams.
