About me:

Hi, I am Uzma Mukhtar, an Integrative Psychotherapist offering a warm, compassionate, and culturally sensitive space where you can feel truly heard and understood. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in painful patterns, or carrying the weight of past experiences that still affect your present. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, Complex PTSD, childhood trauma, low self-esteem, or emotional burnout, you don’t have to face it alone.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults, supporting those navigating:

I also run small, carefully facilitated therapy groups for women who want a supportive, more affordable alternative to individual therapy. (Please enquire)

Trauma and complex trauma
Anxiety and persistent worry
Depression and emotional numbness
Relationship difficulties and attachment wounds
Domestic abuse and its lasting impact
Loss, grief, and major life transitions
Stress, burnout, and identity challenges
My approach is integrative, meaning I tailor therapy to you, rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. Together, we will explore your experiences at a pace that feels safe, helping you develop emotional awareness, self-compassion, and practical tools to cope and heal.

For younger clients, I incorporate creative and play-based approaches, allowing children to express feelings that may be difficult to put into words. For adults, I offer a thoughtful blend of talking therapy, trauma-informed techniques, and grounding strategies to support regulation and resilience. As a culturally aware therapist, I understand the complexities that can arise from cultural expectations, family dynamics, and intergenerational experiences. I warmly welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and offer therapy in English and Urdu/Hindi, where helpful.

I am registered with BACP and adhere to high professional and safeguarding standards, regularly updating my practice through ongoing training and evidence-based approaches.

If you are looking for a therapist who will walk alongside you with empathy, respect, and care, I invite you to get in touch. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful change.
