Hello. I'm Clare. If you're here and reading this, you're probably looking for support with your mental health. I can be there for you in a way that suits you best. Therapy is not one size fits all; I first work to understand where you're at and then I'll meet you there.
Are you looking to worry a lot less or enjoy your life a lot more? Do you want to make sense of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours? Would you like greater emotional resilience? Perhaps you're a self-improver wanting greater self awareness?
I can help with that. You are not alone and you deserve support.
I have had the privilege of working with clients from all walks of life. As well as private clients, I also work in a therapy service with clients whose mental health is causing issues with work. My time there has given me experience with anxiety, depression, social anxiety, OCD, domestic abuse, adverse childhood experiences [ACEs], sexual abuse, bereavement, chronic illness, self esteem and identity issues.
I am a Volunteer Counsellor at Macmillan. My role there is to accompany my clients as they adjust to their or a family member's cancer journey. I support them with anxiety, depression, adjustment, bereavement, identity issues, relationships and so much more. As part of that role I have completed specialist bereavement training and am trained in the specific needs of patients who are parents.
I work face to face In Cheadle, Greater Manchester and online or over the telephone.
I am an integrative counsellor, trained in person centred therapy, transactional analysis and CBT. If I beleive an intervention could be helpful for you, I'll inroduce it and you decide if you'd like to know more.
