Crystal House offers a unique and vital service for young people between the ages of 13 and 18 who are navigating the complexities of a learning disability alongside mental health challenges. As a dedicated five-bed inpatient facility, our primary focus is on providing comprehensive assessment and treatment within a supportive and understanding environment. We frequently work with young individuals who exhibit challenging behaviours, and our expertise extends to those diagnosed with autism, ensuring a holistic approach to their care.
Our commitment is to foster a seamless transition back into the community for every young person under our wing. To achieve this, we've assembled a highly skilled and compassionate specialist team. This team collaborates closely with each young person and their family, developing personalised care plans that address their specific needs and goals. We believe in empowering young people to develop coping mechanisms and strategies that will serve them well beyond their stay at Crystal House.
Gaining admission to Crystal House is a carefully managed process, ensuring that our specialised resources are directed to those who will benefit most. All referrals must originate from a clinical professional, such as a Psychiatry service, a Tier 3 or Tier 4 CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) team, or a Community Learning Disability service. A crucial step in this process is the mandatory approval from NHS England. This rigorous referral pathway is in place to guarantee that every admission is appropriate and that we can provide the highest standard of tailored care for each young person entrusted to us. Our aim is always to provide a safe, therapeutic, and effective pathway to improved well-being for these vulnerable young people.
