Interlink is a members-led charity that listens to and work alongside individuals, community groups and voluntary organisations to make a difference in local communities in and around Rhondda Cynon Taff.
Their Wellbeing Coordinator Team link adults to sources of support in the community to help support you with any social, emotional and practical needs.
At its core, Interlink RCT focuses on two primary areas: community advice and health and wellbeing. Regarding community advice, they provide a comprehensive range of support to community groups and voluntary organisations. This includes offering information, facilitating networking opportunities, enabling peer support, organising training sessions and events, and assisting with funding applications. In essence, they empower these organisations to thrive, enabling them to better serve the people of RCT.
The organisation's commitment to health and wellbeing is equally significant. Interlink RCT works to improve the lives of individuals by connecting them with community activities and local services. They understand that wellbeing encompasses more than just physical health; it includes social and emotional wellbeing as well. Therefore, they strive to create an environment where people feel connected, supported, and empowered to lead fulfilling lives.
Interlink RCT's approach is deeply rooted in the belief that strong communities are built on collaboration and mutual respect. They work alongside local people, recognising and utilising the existing assets within the community, such as its people, buildings, and land. By doing so, they ensure that their initiatives are relevant and responsive to the specific needs of the area.
Furthermore, Interlink RCT facilitates connections with public sector partners, fostering collaboration that maximises the impact of community-based initiatives. This collaborative spirit ensures that resources are used effectively and that the needs of the community are addressed holistically. They are very focused on the importance of volunteering, and promote and help facilitate volunteering opportunities.
In essence, Interlink RCT is a cornerstone of the Rhondda Cynon Taf community, working tirelessly to build a stronger, more connected, and healthier region.
