The Colchester and Tendring Specialist Mental Health Teams offer specialized assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing Serious Mental Illness (SMI) in the North East Essex region. These services are accessible to those registered with a local GP within the Colchester and Tendring boroughs, with each team dedicated to its respective area.
For individuals already receiving care from the Specialist Community Mental Health Teams, a dedicated duty service is available during working hours, providing urgent advice and crisis support when needed.
GPs and other healthcare professionals can refer individuals to these services through their Primary Care Mental Health Nurses or by contacting the team directly via the Single Point of Access.
